help with update please!

i keep hearing the gb update is out and all i get when i try to update is check for updates is unavailable. ive checked some of the settings like a few posts here have suggested and it still says the same thing. i cant get anyone from verizon to answer me back about my question. ive got a droid x2 and i am not rooted, its all factory. can anyone help me out here?

It gets pushed out to different areas and phones at different times. You just have to wait for it. Same thing happened with the GB for the Droid X... It was pushed out in June of this year, and some people are JUST now getting it.

It may also be that you have it already.

Android version 2.3.3

System version 4.5.605.MB810

Just go to System>About Phone and scroll down and check.

Personally I think that they pulled back .602 after they realized there were problems, and pushed .605 back out when it was ready.

I have no inside knowledge that this is the case, but the way there was a lull in complaints about updates, and then all of a sudden a rash of complaints recently leads me to beleive that it was not available for a while if one didn't download it when it first was available.

That could very well be. In any case, though, I think a LOT of people need to learn how to use the "search" function on these forums. The sudden surge of new posts about that old issues from GB back in June are extremely irritating, when you can literally take 10 seconds to search the person's issue, and reply to their new post with a link to that old post, and get a response of lashing out for it.

i think you are very rude. i did search. the stuff i found was no help. if you dont like all of these "new posts" than dont read them. pretty simple.

I'm sorry but their are a few on this form who are rude most the time and a lot of time the search does not help.That's the reason float most the time to find my answers but very Sheldon ask one for that I go to other forums.
