home screen

I just got my droid so I'm new to using it, and this morning I was prompted for a system update.  When it was finished it changed my home screen and I like the way it was before better.  Is there anyway I can change the settings back, I tried looking through the phone but I had no luck yet? I think it's easier to just scroll up to get to my apps and I don't need a home button less than 2cm away from the other home button, and why I need two phone and browser buttons on my home page is a mystery to me.  Personally I think it looked much cleaner than it does now and I want to change it back, does anyone know how?

The update that you received is a mandatory update, and while there are ways to "roll it back" they are not supported by VZW, and using many of them will simply prompt you to install the update again.

As for the two phone and browser buttons on the home screen, you can delete the ones that are on the "home screen" itself (press and hold the icon, when the widget at the bottom of the screen turns into a trash can, drag them there).

You can also try the many different launchers out there. Everyone has a lil different flair to them. I dont use one but a couple of popular one are home++ and ADW. I am sure some more folks can fill ya on there favorites.

ADW  Launcher FTW!!!!

Kidding aside, it is the fastest and most stable that I have tried.. I typed a list of all the other ones on here before somewhere.

It also has some themes that just rolled out that are really unique.

+1 for ADW Launcher.  It makes the Froyo experience 100x better.  Launcher Pro is also another good option.
