how do I make a call from the desk cradle?

how do I make a call from the desk cradle? I need to get to contacts to pick and view number. Don't see how to add Call icon.

Dear cranky,

The short answer is that you cannot initiate a call directly from the desk dock! I have been using the dock ever since getting the Charge, and I was amazed to realize this.

I completely avoid using the Samsung dock screen, and go to the standard home screens instead. The Samsung dock interface screen is a waste of time.
