If you have a corporate account, they will be synced when you add the account, it will be synced automatically.
Otherwise, if you are using Outlook to sync your BB contacts, you can export them and import them into your gmail account in the contacts. Then when you add your gmail account to your Droid X, they will be synced if you mark to sync your Google contacts.
You will need a gmail account when you activate your Droid X.

Two ways that are easier than the whole import / export.
Method 1:
1. Sign up for a gmail account if you don't already have one (you will need one anyway if you want the full features of an Android phone).
2. Download and setup Google Sync on your blackberry using your gmail account. This will sync all your blackberry contacts and calendar with your gmail account.
3. Use the same gmail account when you activate your Android phone.
Method 2:
Use the Verizon contact sync app. Don't know the steps involved but I know they have an app for Blackberry and Android and I think my wifes Droid 2 included their contact sync in the activation. (She moved from a Curve).

I just made the change from a BlackBerry Storm to the DROIDX, and I used the Backup Assistant. It worked flawlessly for me.
I ran it on the BB the day that I ordered my DX,. When the DX arrived, Backup Assistant is already preloaded. I just had to enter the PIN that I had to create when I ran it on the BB and all my contacts copied right over. I was impressed and pretty happy.
