I'm new to smartphones. I can't understand how to stop streaming audio once it's started. All I see is to touch the pause button.

Streaming Audio is just that a stream of data being transmitted to your device, when you pause stream the data will continue to buffer to your device, so unless you close the app the audio stream does not stop, and closing the app would depend on what app you are using.

How do you close an app
Each app usually has its own menus to close app but some simply closes when the back button is used on app, there is so many different ways to do this depending on apps design. The easiest way may be a task killer but take caution in using one because they will close system files if you do not exclude them from app. Task killer isn't a beginner tool but if you are not comfortable doing this then a Task Killer may not be for you.
