This is the way I have done it before.I am pretty sure it is the same.....
- Hook up your phone to your computer with usb cable
- On the phone select "mount"
- Go to start
- My computer
- Removable Storage
- Your phone
- Open up the folder on your computer of where the pictures are located
- Drag & drop pictures into the gallery/picture folder
- When finished unmount your phone
- Look in the gallery on your phone to see if you see the pictures

Pull down that notification bar at the top of your phone. You should see USB conntect option and tap that. Then select "mount"

@ ejstowers -- exact same experience here. It tells me I have no SD card. I'm hoping 2.2 will fix things. Otherwise, I'll be taking it into the store. Which is a pain.
@ The Great One -- left the X in the car, will reply to your question tomorow. Sorry

I had the same problem as well. The phone kept saying no SD card was inserted but obviously a card is inserted. I attempted to simply view the pictures I had taken with the camera on the phone and the phone states there are no picutres to view. This is a bit frustrating.

I've had problems too.... I was instructed after connecting the phone to my pc with the USB cable to enable the memory card management, and when I clicked on that, it gave me the same options, so I also chose USB mass storage. Right after that, my computer suddenly did not recognize the attached device under the computer window, and then my phone did not recognize there was even an SD card in the phone. Since then, I have tried restarting it, removing the battery and the card and reinstalling them, using different SD cards.... you name it. It continues to only recognize it for about 15 seconds, then it says there is no card. I cannot even select the option of unmounting the SD card in order to redo it because that option is grayed out. What do I do?

Sounds like you may have a corrupt sd card but this should be easy to solve, remove the card and place it into a pc card reader and copy everything off the card, format card and then recopy only the information related to apps installed back to card (Phone does not remove information from apps deleted off device and this causes this type of issue also) .
