i was watching a youtube video this morning and my phone froze, but the song kept playing. And since then I have been trying to get my phone to come back on for over an hour now.

I can get it on to the screen but then it freezes again. Sometimes it goes through the start up on repeat. I got it on once to the point where I could unlock it and attempt to use it and it froze again

Try holding the volume down and power buttons simultaneously for 15-20 seconds and see if that helps.

thank you. i tried that and now i have a black screen with a phone picture and a red triangle with an exclamation mark inside it

Pull the battery, wait about 30 seconds, replace the battery, and try powering the phone back up.
