I'm sure I'll be a regular on these forums now. I recently returned my iPhone 4 due to to antenna and speakerphone mic issues. I've had iPhones since they were introduced. iPhone 4 did it for me and I wasn't about to go back to my 3gs. I returned my iPhone 4 and sold the 3gs. I've tried a few time in the last 3 years to go to cool looking windows mobile phones but I can't stand the lag when switching between programs so here I am. Getting my droid X tomorrow can't wait. I tried it ina  store 2 times last week and I love it.

I am thinking of coming over from Iphone 3G.  The 4 does not do it for me and the 3G on OS 4 is horrible.  But my queiston for you, why the Droid X and not the Incredible?

Well I actually initially placed my order last Friday for the incredible. Then upon talking with someone and going to a Verizon location to test the Droid X I changed my mind and emailed the salesperson that took my incredible order and asked him if I could switch to the X. He did and changed my order the the X. I personally don't mind a large phone. I'm 6' and don't have small hands so I kind of prefer it to be a larger phone. My wife also checked out the X with me and she will probably switch to Verizon with me and also get the X. So size does matter. She prefers the large screen on the X. She currently has an iPhone 3gs.

My only request for assistance at this point. Can someone point me to a link that I can learn about transferring music and video to the Droid X? I've been spoiled by itunes for the last few years. Thanks and I will return the favor to the community at some point.

i'm not an expert on that stuff. but i suspect they are all mp3 and mp4 files that you could just throw on the microsd (that comes with your X i believe). you will just have to get anything from the iphone onto your pc (or mac) via usb cable. from there, you can plug in the X via usb as a "disk" and copy all the music/video files to the microsd in the X. somewhere in your X there will be a place to tell it to connect to your pc as a "disk."

Most definitely.  Movie files happen to be one of the biggest features of the phone and play a huge role in the big screen which of course is in hd. (which you probably have already heard)

Yep, that's one of the big selling points on this phone..... you no longer need to worry about a silly program like iTunes.... all you do is connect your phone to wherever your music is (by DLNA or by USB) and drag and drop your music directly into the Droid X.  I had a really hard time getting used to the whole iTunes thing when I got my first iPod.

Welcome to the Verizon forums!  Good switch. I am pretty sure you'll love the new Droid X.
