lose keyboard w droid x

Question

When I go into a website and need to type in a pop up window. The keyboard shows for a second and than disappeared this also happened on droid 2 but I can use regular keyboard. No problem with iphone

Thank you. Holding the menu botton for 3 seconds worked I have the keyboard back
