How do you separate pics in 'folders' into new folders or files so you can select them for slideshow instead of entire folder

Go to your files folder and open your pictures folder. Then click on your menu button and select New Folder, name it, and move or copy the pictures you would like to have in this new folder.

I saw the 'files' opened new folder and named it. What i don't get is how to actually move the pics into the new folder. Dragging doesn't seem to work as i thought it would

In the phone file manager, long press the file you want to move and select move and then go to where you want to move it.

Thanks for the info.so far. I've gotten the pics from 'files' to a new folder but it seems that slideshow doesn't work in files only in gallery.that was my original intention. Is there a way to get to slideshow in a files folder or is there a way to separate pics into a separate folder in gallery?
