I downloaded music from my computer to my droid 2. Then went and selected songs for my ringtones from my music file. I now want to delete those song from my ringtones, but not my music. Any suggestions on how to do this? Customer service could not help me.

This is by no means a solution, but perhaps someone with more in depth knowledge can pull out the relevant bit that will help you.

I got my phone, loaded an MP3, then opened it in the music player, assigned it as ringtone. All is well. I then ported over the number from my old phone, that caused some type of OTA Update. This reset my phone, then reloaded all of my aps although not the configurations. The mp3 file was still there, but it had to be re-designated as a ringtone through the music ap.

I wonder if the ringtones would disappear if you deleted the songs?  You could  try to remove the songs and then see if the ringtones get removed. If they do then just re-add the songs back to your phone. Hopefully the ringtones won't come back

Did you use a 3rd party app like Ringdroid to make the ringtones? You could also try to remove the ringtones by opening up  your sd card on your computer.

no i did not use an app. went straight from windows media player to my music app on the droid 2. Customer service suggested the same thing as you. There should be an easier way then just deleting the music and then having to reload it,  but i am finding out there is nothing the easy way with this phone.
