A few days ago my droid quit working all of a sudden, and will not work now. It was not dropped or damaged. The phone turns on and will recieve messages but the screen is black. I have tried resetting the phone (taking the battery out), holding x and power button but nothing has worked. I do not want to send the phone back in and have to pay the $36 restocking fee as I was told was now necessary to cover costs. It is still under warranty. anyone have any ideas? I am out of patience and money PLEASE HELP!

If the device is defective within the 14-Day Worry Free Guarantee, you will be able to exchange your phone for a new one of the same exact device without the restocking fee.
If the device is defective and you are within the 1-year manufacturer warranty, but out of the Worry Free Guarantee, you will be able to have your device replaced with a Certified Like-New device of the same make/ model.
If it turns out that the issue is due to physical damage and you have insurance, you are able to file a claim, pay the deductible and have your device replaced.
If the issue is due to physical damage and you do not have insurance, you may be able to purchase a Certified Pre-Owned device without renewing or extending your current contract.
