I did the update last Monday and the touch screen is out of control. My phone dont let me use the touch screen and is clicking all over the place by itself... making calls, opening mails...texting...
Any ideas? should i do a hard reset?
I have pulled the battery several times, I started it without the media card, and it worked fine for a few minutes.... then it happened again... its really annoying an I cant use it like that...

Now I do have a bigger problem... I have tried to reset it to factory settings but the "search" key is not giving me any options. I did restart with the "x" pressed and I see the triangle and the android little guy...but I cant keep it going...the keys wont work past that point...
Any idea?

Sorry I had to re-register myself... I did try what you suggested, it worked and I reseted but... rather than reset the factory settings it went to the new system again and obviously the problem persist.
I went to the Verizon store, they said it is Motorola responsibility and now I cant use the phone... Honestly I hate Verizon... this is my work phone, my family have T-Mobile and their customer service is WAY better than Verizon...with Verizon everything seems to be more difficult than what already is...
Anyways...Thanks

A "factory reset" won't undo an upgrade to a new version of Android, so that's why it is still the new system. One approach is to SBF to the older version (search the internet if you don't know how to do that) to see if that fixes the issue.

Did Verizon give a reason for passing the responsibility on to Motorola? Phone out of warranty or purchased second hand? Was it a Corporate Verizon store?
When my phone screen has "gone crazy" as you describe, it usually because of moisture on the screen or extremely high humidity in the air. But never to the extent that you describe. Your phone didn't get wet by any chance did it?

No, it was working perfectly until the moment I did the system upgrade. It was fine for a little while and then the craziness started.
The reason the Verizon employee gave me is that the guarantee expired and there is physical damage to the frame (its broken at the top) on top of that he said it is Motorolas fault because of the upgrade.

I understand your frustration completely. I have reviewed my resources and I am showing that the issues you have described are being investigated by Motorola and our Product Support Team. I assure you that we will post this information to you all, as it becomes available.
Thank you very much,

Wow, Samsung are looking in to it! Wonder how Motorola feels about that.....
