Hi,

I am a fairly new droid incredible user. I am very fond of the "people" widget that shows people from my 'favorites" on my screen. I just press their photo and it calls them. Starting yesterday when I pressed the photo of the person I wanted to call I got this message: "The application My Verizon Mobile (process vzw.hss.myverizon) has stopped unexpectedly"  and "Call not sent, no valid number entered."

How can I get this working again? Thanks in advance,

This is what I did. I removed the widget and reistalled it. It asked which group I wanted to load and I picked "VIP" because it had "0". Then I manually added the people who were in my "Starred in Android" group. Now it works fine.

If it messes up again I'll try your suggestion. Thank you so much for your help. These are the best forums for a newbie user like myself. Super fast responses and super helpful people!

PS: I sure wish I could delete some of this pre-loaded stuff. The most annoying of all is "City ID". I hate it so much I wrote support@cequint.com to tell them what I thought of their "annoy-ware" business practices.

Out of curiosity, is the My Verizon Mobile one of the applications that cannot be removed from the phone?

Go to settings > applications > manage applications. Scroll to My Verizon and select it. Is the uninstall box grayed out? (These instructions may be slightly different with a 2.2 android OS. Adjust accordingly.)

HI,

The application "My Verizon Mobile" is there. Everything is greyed out except the "Clear data" button. Haven't tried pushing that button yet...

There is a bunch of com.___.___ applications. There is no com.vzw.hss.myverizon app. There is a com.vzw.location app.

Oh lovely. This is the very reason these extra Apps should removable. :smileysad:

That being said, your best bet is to clear the data and reboot the phone.

If it still does it and you are running 2.2, a factory reset might be in order if you have not yet done one after the update from 2.1 to 2.2.
