There has been so much speculation that it's impossible to come to an informed conclusion.  I won't hold my breath that this is a real benchmark, nor that Motorola would change processors so late in the game without completely scrapping the project.

Scrapping the project has also been discussed. The name Bionic might have so many negative connotations associated with it by now, Moto might go for a fresh name and a fresh image.

I'm waiting for the Motorola Targa to hit the market.  That is what I'll use my 1 year over-due upgrade on.

Yeah, there always seems to be a device I'm hoping for that turns out to be {word filter avoidance}. Two years ago, the last time I picked a VZW device to commit to, it was the Samsung Omnia II. I was hoping it would be something cool. It wasn't and took forever, way past the announced date, to come out. I eventually just blew it off in favor of the VZW HTC Imagio only because it was one of the best Windows devices (why I went with Windows Mobile 6.5 still mystifies me) in Verizon's lineup at the time. This time I'm hoping Motorola can come through with the Bionic. I wouldn't touch a Windows phone with a 10' pole. However, now Motorola and Verizon are busy screwing over anyone that ever hoped in them. I'm thinking this is related less to Motorola and more to Verizon. I've been with Verizon for 10+ years and seem to recall feeling this way every two years. I'm looking at other carriers with better devices THAT ACTUALLY WORK! A network is only as good as it's service. I've been here long enough to know that disappointment is built into the way Verizon does business.
