The calender should sync by itself. As long as you have the right google sign in.

Check to see if your sync settings are enabled. Here are the steps below.
From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located on the bottom of the screen).
- Touch Gmail.
- Touch Menu.
- Touch Accounts.
- Touch Menu.
- Touch Account Settings.
- Touch the desired Gmail account.
- Touch the desired sync option.
- Synchronization is enabled if a green check mark is present.
- Sync Calendar
- Only the initial Gmail account calendar is synchronized.
- Sync Contacts
- Sync Gmail

Had the same problem with a new Droid X. Had no "Sync Calendar" showing in gmail account, only "Sync Contacts" and "Sync Gmail". Calendar function on phone was not useable. Easy fix for me:
1. Create a 2nd "Dummy" gmail account on your PC (you may be able to create the new account on your phone but I did not try it that way). You will delete this account when you are done.
2. On your phone, go to "settings" then tap "accounts" then "add account" then "google" then "next" then "Sign in". Sign into your new "Dummy" account.
3. After your phone signs in, it will sync contacts, gmail and calendar for the new account.
4. Press the back button on the bottom of the phone so it goes back to and shows all of your accounts, then tap your original gmail account.
5. You should now have contacts, gmail and calendar all showing in your original account.
6. If it all works the way it should you can delete the "Dummy" account and all should be good!
Good Luck!
