I am in St. Kitts and purchased a Droid 2 before leaving SC and was told I could use it in St. Kitts. I called global service before I left and alerted them I would be in St. Kitts and they told me that I would have free email and text and calls would be $1.99 per minute. I have no service and when attempting to dial it tells me emergency numbers only. What can I do??

Is this a Droid 2 or Droid 2 Global. St Kitts is GSM, so a Droid 2 won't work.
If it is a Global:
Do you somehow have the Global Unlimited plan (because you were on it prior to Jan 16 or you have a corporate liable line)? This is the $65 per month plan which has been discontinued for personal lines.
If not, emails won't be free but will be charged at $5.12 per MB, unless you purchage a plan (25MB for $30 for example), see http://b2b.vzw.com/international/GlobalData/Caribbean/St%20Kitts%20and%20Nevis.html
If you are not getting a signal, contact Global Services (from another phone!) and make sure that your SIM has been activated.
