phone can't find the update?

anyone else having this issue.  Verizon support told me to just wait until it was sent to my phone.  I went to settings>phone info>system update and it just says

 

Checking for available update.

Please wait.....

I'm having the exact same issue. I have been trying since early this morning. Keep getting the same message.

I suspect that VZW pulled the update to resolve some of the 'stuck on M logo issues'.

Ok, I just decided to dial *228, then I shut down my phone and removed the battery for about 5 min. Then when I rebooted and "checked for  updates" again, it immediately showed the update, I am currently downloading it now, hope this helps.
