poor reception also

Both my husband and I recently upgraded to the HTC Incredible 2. The reception for phone calls is terrible. My 3 year old Blackberry was much better and even my Husbands antique very old phone had better cell phone reception. I thought I was alone with this problem!

Hello sugarrungirl,

 

The Incredible 2 is one of my favorite smartphones on the market. This device have so many impressive features that I couldn't resist buying one myself. With that being said, I am more than happy to assist you with your reception on your two new Droid Incredible 2s. I have a few questions that I would like to ask so I can get a better understanding of the reception issues. I have listed them below for you.

 

What city and state are you in? 

What software version do you have on both devices?

Have remove the battery from the device while it is powered on? (soft reset)

Are you experiencing this problem everywhere or just in your home location?

Is the issue happening indoor, outdoors, or both?

If the issue is indoors, what floor does it happens on? (1st floor, 2nd floor, basement, etc.)

How many bars of signal are on the handset?

 

Once you have provided me with a response to the questions above then I can identify and confirm if the issue is with the device or network related. If it's device related and you are within the 14-day return policy then you have swap the device out. The is  no cost to you if you decide on another Droid Incredible 2, however, if you would like a different make & model then there may be a cost difference plus a $35 activation fee.

 

If it's network related then I can open a trouble ticket for you. This is an investigation that involves our network engineers testing the signal and service in your area for service. This process traditionally takes 3-5 business days to complete. Once you have answered the questions above then I can make a recommendation for a customized solution for you.

wow let me jump on the band wagon here..am on my second incredible 2 also first was bad software it was past the two weeks but they gave me another

Along with thousands of incredible 2 users am also loosing sig inside and out of house the bars go to 3 then drop off to nothing

its the worst phones i have had in years

HTC and Verizon has to get there head on right and fix theses phones or customers are going to drop them like a hot potatoes

90% of the time am at 1 bar or none unbelievable

And there saying in posts the incredible 2 is Verizon's best
