that depends on where you are. if you have wifi turned on and there's no strong network near you, it will just search and search (draining batterry) and if you are somewhere with poor 3g coverage, again, it will struggle to keep the connection (draining the battery). i only turn on wifi at work or at home when i know i'm on a strong wifi network. and if i go golfing or somewhere out in in the desert (where the 3g signal may be weak) and don't mind missing calls for a bit, i turn in on to airplane mode to conserve the battery
when i go to bed at night i turn on wi-fi and connect to my
house wi-fi service, i have 100% charge,when i get up
aprox.8 hrs my phone shows 90%, if i don't connect to
my wi-fi under the same conditions my phone shows 71-76%
