I dont really care for the stock ringtones on the charge, so I downloaded Rindroid, to create my own tones with mp3 files that I put on the phone. I always use the Zedge app and have used other various ringtone apps.
I can select the ringtone that I want. then after that nothing happens. I am missing calls left and right because my phone wont play the ringtones. Ill click to play the tone in the sound settings and it wont play. i get no error message, it just doesnt play. the phone doesnt set itself to silent or anything, out of nowhere the ringtone just doesnt play.
any fixes for this? its very frusturating.

Un-install the ringtone APPs you downloaded. They are not working. Turn phone off and then on. Try a different APP from the Market but go to the developer's web site and try to see if it will work on the Charge phone. Not all APPs work on all phones.

ive done that a million times. still doensnt work. i read that the twitter app may be causing the issue. i deleted the official twitter app, removed all the ringtones and the ringtone apps from my phone. i transferred amazon mp3 onto my phone and it now rings weird.

BERRYJ,
Regarding your issue of the camera flash locking up your phone, try this simple test to see if MAYBE your battery might be to weak to run the camera''s flash.
Plug your phone into the powerful 110 volt 1 amp charger that came with your phone. Go to bed. Leave it plugged in overnight.
Next morning when the battery is fully charged keep the phone plugged into the charger (it's important to keep the charger plugged in) and quickly take 6 or 7 FLASH photos in a row.
If you phone does NOT lock up then a weak battery was your problem. Your only choice is to get a new battery.
Please let me know your results.

This phone drops assigned ringtones all the time. I'm not using any special app or anything. I'll assign a downloaded ringtone to a particular caller, and a few days later its back to the default. I've just added it to the list of weird querks this phone has. I'm beginning to miss my Blackberry Storm 2. (Did I really just say that???)
