"Audio Format Not Supported"

droidcharge1996

I have been having a problem listening to music on my phone lately. I have music on my phone that I've listened to many times before and occasionally it will say "Audio Format Not Supported" when I take the battery out and put it back in the music will play. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem and if there is a solution that doesn't involve performing a soft reset every other day. Thanks.

Not so far, purchased encrypted seems to work as well, sound like a glitch in the player or os. Have you tried another free player to see if it solves it? May be a DRM issue or a glitch.

Hopefully the Official 2.3.4 update will fix that and use full features. When it is customixed ( don't use the leaked alpha  soem features do not wwork including texting).

I have had the same issue with my mp3s... sometimes it will play them, other times I get the unsupported file error... thinking of installing something like WinAmp as it might be a driver issue?

I've been having this issue too, haven't found a player that fixes this.  Only solution is to reboot your phone.

I hear that 2.3.? won't be available until the 3Q 2011.  I am extremely disappointed that I will have to wait until at least October for my phone to work they way it should have when it was purchased.  This is really the solution?

You would think for a phone that costs $299 WITH A 2-YEAR CONTRACT, that the phone would actually work the way it should.  This phone will be FREE by Thanksgiving the way things are going... and that's when I should have picked this thing up -- not some bleeding edge "beta stage" software release with this phone at launch.

Not to go off on a tangent -- I love the phone, but so far, I'm carrying at least 1 spare battery with me at all times (I've gone through two 1600mAh batteries today and that includes charging the phone in the car for at least an hour, and another hour at my desk.  First battery went dead by 11:30am this morning.  I have a desktop charging stand bedside, and may need to pick up ANOTHER one for the office.
