"Pre-loaded" text in new text message

For the last week or so I have noticed that when I try to text two of my contacts, there is preloaded text in the text box that I have to delete. I've tried deleting the drafts and the entire thread but the text appears again when I open a new thread. I read somewhere that I should clear all the data from my messaging app, but I am hesitant to do so because I don't know what I will be deleting exactly.

Can anyone tell me what will be removed if I clear the data?

You don't lose anything when you clear the cache of an app. It sounds like you have a signature enabled. Go into your messaging settings and disable the signature. That will clear out the pre defined text
