"Verizon Voice" When Turning my Droid 2 on and Off - want to get rid of!

When I turn my Droid off and on the "Verizon Voice" says"Loss of service". How do I get rid of that voice without completely turning the sound off on the phone? I want it to ring, etc.

Settings>Sound. Scroll down to Roaming tone and uncheck it. That will stop the Verizon sound.
