I got "Zombie Art" by Jack Larson.  A droid dude, next to a zombie ginger bread man and some misc zombies in the background.  I wish I could save the picture somehow.

Those hidden things like that are called "Easter Eggs" ...  yes, they are a picture of something, not a real easter egg pic.

Hello forum members!

I thought I read about that image when the Gingerbread OS was first released.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Actually it is normal for developers to include things like that in every build, Froyo had one as well but its so long I cant remember the sequence and the item...  It can be fun to see what they throw into the code for fun...

Thanks for pointing out....

It's kind of like on old school motherboards the designer would put a graffiti tag that could only be seen in high power microscopes.

Thanks for posting this Cody. For some reason I get the run around when trying to sign in to this forum on my DX. If I want to post, I have to log on from my lap top. Technology is a wonderful thing;-)

I didn't know that crb79! Thanks for that interesting little piece of information! It is really cool that they put an easter egg in Gingerbread. I went in the about phone settings and tapped on everything hoping I would find another lol. It's fun to do, like going through the menu on a dvd to find the easter eggs on it.. Some movies are chock full of easter eggs. Like Orgazmo and many Troma Films movies..

There is an Easter Egg in the Honeycomb OS as well.

Sometimes Easter Eggs have access to features that only activate once you activate them from the hidden menu....  I like some of the developers that install apps that can only be access through their roms, I use to do this on WM with my roms but I havent got the trick with doing it in Android (YET) :smileyhappy:

I wrote to the artist and asked if he cared if we downloaded the picture from his website - he said go for it.... Actually here's his reply:

Hello. Please feel free to use it. It's already been downloaded more than 20 million times.

In fact, I just sent Android a bill.
Thank you for your interest in my art.
