"toolbar" possible on screen?

When I am using the browser on my Droid X, to backspace I have to use the hard backspace key at the bottom of the phone. Is it possible to have some sort of toolbar on the screen?

Depends on which browser you are using.

With XScope, you have a choice of using an onscreen back button or the hard back button.

I'd be surprised if the other browsers didn't have this same ability as well, but I don't know...

the Dolphin HD browser also has a "swipe gesture" that you can set to enable all kinds of behaviors, including BACK.
