well.....
long story short... samsung rushed droid charge out just to be sit on a same boat with htc's thunderbolt's 4g LTE...
they didn't want to be left out... and verizon pushed samsung by ending unlimited data service...in other words..
samsung rushed to make some crap just to be on safe side...( by making hardware..at least ) and they "yea" .... software side of aspect
was not even developed...at ALL..... they were just buying some "time" by putting out hardware....
and all of sudden they had to "really" catch up with iphone...( Korean government somehow managed to get hold of 1st gen. iphone debut for 2 years.... )
Again.. they had to rush out making Galaxy S!@ 2.....but this time around with both "hard & software" side of it...
so what now? upgrading to GB on droid charge ....far left behind .....opps...
i might be wrong...(and i don't care).... even if they OTA GB.....in couple days... i DO NOT give crap .....meaning...
ice cream...beans...pizza..what ever..... any thing they update will be always be like 2 years behind..and that is just BEING
plain "UNRESPONSIVE" ....and "LAZY"......and in my opinion SAMSUNG they don't give crap about CUSTOMERS.....period...
i don't really know what verizon has to say about this but......(well... they kicked galaxy s2 with non LTE first time)
so... again...SAMSUNG ran out of even more time to update ALL froyo based droid charge users....(we were not in the consideration anyways...lol)
i have about 1 more year to go..with my contract ending with this piece of CRAP phone.....
I GAVE UP on being UPDATE .....to GB>>>IS.....BEAN....M&M......
I WILL NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!! til i DIE.....purchase another SAMSUNG crap........
YOU lost....long B4...!!!!! wake up.... ! (well...i mean...android....fixuper...everyday crap...)
oh..one more... if you still really want an android device...get the one that will come out around next year from motorola...you know what i mean...!! The only reason google bought motorola is to be like an apple...( total control over both soft and hardware...cuz..they know it works and we know it works..)...
expect updates from samesung and htc for now..by then ...they will be no longer supported by google...eventho google said they "will".... yea...really..-_-;;..)
p.s...btw..i checked out GB based galaxy s%^ 2 at bestbuy today.....wow.....All the time we had to wait ....worth NOTHING (where is the difference ??????) ....GOOD JOB .. SAME sung...

I had the same problem tonight, and this is not the first time. I am at home using my bluetooth, and my brother is on the road. We have been talking back and forth for quite some time, without any problems, when I suddenly realize I can hear everything he is saying, but he cannot hear me. Before he hangs up, I switch over to the speaker phone. Again, I can clearly hear him, but he can't hear me. I call him back. I can hear him, but he can't hear me. I tried a restart. At first it works, but after a few seconds, it happens again.
I really like Verizon, and I actually like this phone(when it works properly), but my youngest brother is about the only person in my family that I get any pleasure in talking to. He is getting so frustrated that it gets to where he doesn't want to take my calls. This issue has been posted previously- at least a couple of months ago. I posted about this same issue at that time. I don't wish to rant and rave, because it looks bad and doesn't help, but I do have one question- Honestly, is this the best Verizon can do?

FYI - Motorola Mobility will act as it's own entity and can't be handled by Google even though they own it. The purchase wouldn't have happened and the FCC would have blocked it.
Word of advice... If you really care about updates and everything coming quicker then get a Nexus Line device. Nexus One, Nexus S, or the soon to be released Galaxy Nexus. Although these are made by various manufacturers Google has full control of everything. They make the drivers, ril, and kernel and this is where the Android Source comes from.

55Bob. If the device is in good shape and less than a year old, and you've done all of the possible troubleshooting steps (eg battery pop, hard reset etc), then you should be able to replace the device under warranty. It's worth a try!!!

Thanks Philly. I may go that route, but I am not sure it will help. According to what I have read, it's a software issue with the Charge. Assuming that is true, replacing my phone with another Charge will not solve the issue. I would agree that it's worth looking into.
