I had the same problem and was sent a refurb as well.. Store said they would have exchanged for a new one, but they didn't have any. Most stores are out of them and not getting anymore in. As for the refurb its like anything else, once its out the door, its used and replaced as such if theres an issue. I was upset by a refurb too, but its fine. It looks and acts as new, couldn't find the slightest scratch on it.
