separate icons for e-mails accounts

Just migrated from the Blackberry Tour. Had separate icons for each e-mail account. With the DroidX it appears it lumps multiple e-mail accounts from the same service provider into ONE icon. For example I have 2 yahoo and 2 gmail accounts - and it provides only ONE icon for the 2 gmail accounts (forcing me to manually switch between the two) and the same goes for the 2 yahoo accounts.

Does any know of a way separate these?

Third party app?

Officially, there is no way to separate these. I tried many times with Verizon tech support. I believe Motorola built the Droid X 2.1 UI this way. I do not know whether Android foisted it upon their UI. Perhaps the Motorola Droid X 2.2 UI will fix this with better options. I would not be surprised if there was an app to get around this. If you find one, could you please post here - I would love such an app, as I share the questions/sentiments in your post.

I just added two of my AOL accounts and they show up as two separate icons in the Messaging folder.  Go to My Accounts and add each of your accounts.  You can give them two different names.  If you go to the Messaging shortcut, you will see both icons and can open each account separately to see the mail.

Hope this helped.
