Hello bionik,

I appreciate you allowing us, the community, the opportunity to assist you with your new Droid Bionic. I hope you are enjoying your new device. You can change the notification sound on the device in the Settings option. This is the tone for when you receive a SMS, MMS, and/or email on the device. You can also change your phone ringtone in this menu as well. I have provided the steps below for your review.

1.  Tap the app icon on the home screen.

2.  Select Settings

3.  Tap Sound

4.  Select Notification Ringtone

From this menu you can select the notification sound of your choice for SMS, MMS, and emails. This setting is for all three of these option and do not separate the sounds for text, email, or MMS. Although I am unable to recommend a third party app, you can search for the key word Notification Sounds and review the many options available in the market.

Thank you...

Wildman did not say the 'left button'. He said the 'left menu button'. This is the button at the bottom 'left' of your display that looks like 4 squares with one square filled in and the other 3 just outlines.

Edit: while this is not an actual mechanical button which you press and it moves, it is a dedicated touch button on the front of your phone.

You have to unsolve the current solution by using the options link on the right of the post and selecting the "Not the Solution" option.
