signal loss

get frustrated with signal loss. My kids with their phones which are only 3g have no problem. My signal of 3g or 4g or sometimes even the plain signal is all gone and even powering off then on doesnt help. THought maybe it's just because the 4g signal isn't strong enough in my area but since I loose all signals many times this can't be the only problem. I am new to smart phone and never had problem with other *granny* phone. My kids have no trouble. Verizon says I can buy a $250 signal booster. but not about to do that. Any other suggestions? thanks.

Have you tried disabling the 4G radio?   This helps if 4g isnt in your area...   Also you may want to check and see if your area is under the list of area to get 4g on the Nov. 14 because network signal has been speratic in these areas lately until the update is completed.

Trying to remember...go to settings/wireless and networks and scroll down to the bottom of that page. You should see "mobile networks", I think. Select that and if I got ths right, you will see two choices..."4GLTE/CDMA" and. "CDMA Only". Select "CDMA Only".

You can see Verizon's LTE coverage map on their website.

Hope this helps. If not, or I have the settings wrong, lemme know and I'll fire up my now-deactivated Bionc and look again.

Additionally, if you are in a 4G area, or none of this works, take that thing back if you are in your 14-day return period.

Hello sultrylady,

I definitely understand the importance of staying connected.  Are you still experiencing opportunities with you signal?  I would like to ask you a few questions to help me further assist you.  What city, state and zip are you having issues in?  Do you notice any trends about this?  For example, a specific time or place this occurs?  Does your signal get better in any environments?  Are there any other 4G users near you that have good or the same signal as yourself?  If you need additional assistance please respond with the information above.  Thank you.
