New to droid, my signal strength ranges from-85 to -90 at home. At work -95 to -100. Is this average and is this why my battery drains 75% in an 8 hour day at work on standby?
the signal strength is normal. that's actually not too bad compared to some others i've seen. also the signal gauge is a bit of issue. it's not always that accurate. are you dropping calls or losing the signal? the battery life is poor....but not THAT poor. on standby you should get a full day. i get about 20+ hours off of a charge....of which i am actually usin it for 3+ hours. you have a problem, i believe. search the forum for "battery." there are TONS of tips and tricks to get better battery life. but to be honest if it drains 75% in 8 hours and you're not even using it...it could be a bad battery or a bad device. i'd prolly run by a vzn store.
