symbols on top of phone screen??

Hi, I am 2 days old with Verizon!!! Bought a Droid. This has been an ordeal trying to figure this out. I think once I get I will really like it. What are they symbols at the top of the droid? I know one is battery, bars, but I have one that looks like a bowtie. What is that one? Cant figure it out. thanks

What you are seeing I the notification bar. If you press and drag it down, you'll seethat it will give you additional info on certain types of notifications like emails, text messages, etc. I'm guessing that the "bowtie" you are seeing is Bluetooth symbol, but I could be wrong.
