I would first recommend making sure your backup is scheduled to sync any changes in your contacts that would add or remove contacts on your phone and online. I have listed the steps to ensure your schedule is set up below. You may also have your phone contacts synced with your facebook contacts, and I have listed information regarding this option below.
Scheduled automatic backups will only occur if there have been changes to the device's contacts since the last backup. To set up your schedule, use the information below:
- From the home screen, select the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).
- Select Backup Assistant.
- Select Recurring Sync.
- Select an option then select OK.

- Afternoon (12pm-6pm)
- Evening (6pm-12am)
- Late Night (12am-6am)
Additionally, if your regular contacts are merged with your facebook contacts, listed below are steps to separate the two contacts list. Your phones contact list application uses a merge feature to combine contact information from various sources (Gmail, Microsoft Exchange, Facebook, new entries, etc.). If contact information was joined in error, the information can be separated back into individual contacts.
You can use the steps below to separate contact list from different sources:
- From the home screen, select contacts (located in the lower-right).
- Select the contact.
- Select Menu.
- Select Unlink contact.
- Select Yes.
- If prompted, select the contact to view.
