Can one wire tether DX to PC or only use wireless

At this time the best method is to tether via wireless connection. However you can plug it into your computer to charge while it broadcast the wireless signal. Hope this helps.

If 3G not available, will tethering use phone connection? ( less loss of service/connecton issues)

Wouldn't a wired tether be faster that using the wireless hotspot feature?  Or is the speed difference not enough to matter.

I plan on just using the hotspot feature when traveling on vacations or otherwise.  I like and appreciate the fact that the hopspot feature can be activated for only the period of time that I actually will be needing and using it.

The speed difference is not enough to matter varying very little. The phone was built more for the wireless tethering than the wired connection.
