text box colors?

Hi. Does anyone know if you can change the color of the text boxes in the standard/stock text messaging app? I don't want to download or use any text app from the market (I like the stock one just fine)... I just want to change the colors if I can. Please and thank you :smileyhappy:

Nope .. sorry ... You'd have to look into 3rd party apps .. e.g., Handcent is one of many free ones.

Just get yourself Handcent off of the Android market.....you can customize the heck out of it, which you cannot do with the stock messaging app the phone comes with

Booo! (j/k).. I was afraid of that. I think I tried Handcent once before and it gave me a headache... it was a long time ago and I might have been having trouble with swype or something. Thanks Cody... appreciate the quick reply.
