There's a program in the Market called SMS Backup that can backup to your gmail account. From there you could print the messages.
Read the directions thoroughly, there are some settings you have to alter in your Gmail account in order for it to work properly.

when i'm home i send emails to variousverizon phones, xxx-xxx-xxx@vtext.com. they get it as a text and send it back to me as an email.
it's easier to type on pc keyboard than the phone.
