my droid has decided to become utterly unusable and infuriating. when i unlock the screen i have about 5 seconds before it begins to do everything from call to change my settings all on its own and against my will. this is the second time this has happened and i thought everything would be fine when i received my replacement, but no i was wrong. i am done with the droid. can i downgrade to a cheaper and more reliable phone, and how would i do that? im not paying verizon for another replacement that will just self destruct in 2 months..

For one, I would check your apps. It sounds like it's a specific app you've downloaded that's done this. Try uninstalling them one by one (or all at once if you can) and see which one is doing it. You can activate an older phone you have laying around, or purchase one from eBay or Craigslist for pretty cheap. Or you could look into the CPO phones from Verizon. Why would you pay Verizon for a replacement? If you're in your 1 year manufacturer's warranty time, you shouldn't have to pay for it.
