My son owned the HTC Droid incredible phone before me. My contact list shows the 14 contacts I will call and text., none of his contacts. But when I go to message, then click on the person icon at the top it pulls up all his 878 contacts and none of mine... Help

It sounds confusing and there may be multiple issues but for the simplest short-term solution, instead of going to messaging, can you go to YOUR contact list, tap the photo or icon of the contact which opens a menu to call, message, email, etc.

Did you change the Gmail address attached to the phone??? If not, the phone is syncing with his Gmail account for contact info.

Hi, Budone
Yeah, that's one issue. He has more than one set of contacts. Rather than fix that, it seems easier to me just to use his own contact list for everything. At least as long as it works okay since he only has 14. If he wants to address the synching and account issues, I hope he will post accordingly. It would be important if his contact list was big, etc.

Or if it was a major communications hub for him. . Looks like he's just calling and texting people.

Thanks guys, I ended up going to Verizon and a guy helped me . I ended up defaulting to original factory settings and he set me up with a Gmail acct. to get started. Easier for me to format the phone to my needs instead of my 18 year olds needs, since they are obviously quite different,
