I would say this is because its a sms not a emai, sms has a limit of lettets that can be sent, anything more than 160 letters can not be sent. SMS represents Short Message Service, 3 pages is far from short,,

Ummm, you replied to a thread that is almost two years old. As for your question, have you thought of emailing the application developer through their contact info in the Play Store? They made the app and they would have the answers you seek.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

This discussion where you are replying is in the Verizon Wireless community and not the developers.
Here is the link to the application Handcent SMS in the Play Store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.handcent.nextsms You can find the email contact information when you scroll down through the description page on an Android device.
PS. Typing in all capital letters is considered Internet Yelling. Please turn off your caps lock.

I can send more than one page but it shows on your phone as one complete message but it splits the messages into multiple text messages when sent, but I am still not getting why would you need to send such a large test message, would a email be better or simply call them if the message is that long? At least thats my opinion.

Try sending the message as a MMS message instead of a text.
