My Universal inbox No longer shows my gmail They show under my account But under the edit settings That email box is greyed out. The only accounts that show In my universal inbox Is the facebook and text. That voice mail does'nt even show In the universal inbox. But all the above accounts Do show in the edit settings as accounts i have set up. they just don't appear in the universal inbox

Try setting up Gmail fetcher.  The steps are below.  Hope this helps!

To set up Mail Fetcher:

1. Using a computer, go to gmail.com, click Settings at the top of any Gmail page, and open the Accounts and Import tab.

1. In the Check mail using POP3 section, click Add POP3 email account.

1. Enter the full email address of the account you'd like to access, then click Next Step.

1. Gmail will populate sample settings, but we recommend checking with your other provider to learn the correct server name and port. Enter your Password.

1. Decide whether to:

Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server

If you'd like to keep a copy of each message Gmail retrieves in your other mail accounts, select the Leave a copy of retrieved messages on the server checkbox. This way, you can access mail in your other accounts, and in Gmail.

Please note that some email services may still delete your messages when Gmail fetches them. If this option is checked, Gmail will instruct the other domain to leave the messages in place, though the final behavior is up to the other domain.

If you'd rather delete copies of messages that Gmail retrieves, leave this option unchecked. Gmail will delete the messages from the other account as those messages are retrieved, meaning you'll only be able to read them in Gmail.

Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail

If the email account being retrieved from supports Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption, you can select this option to have all information sent through a secured connection.

If you select this option, and your email provider doesn't support it, Gmail will let you know that your configuration failed. Clicking Show error details will likely reveal a Protocol error in this case. You'll need to uncheck this selection before continuing.

Label incoming messages

If you'd like to automatically label all messages that are retrieved from your non-Google account, select this option. You can choose to use the predefined label (your email address), or you can select an existing label or create a new one from the drop-down list.

Note: Your Motorola DROID XTRM phone will let you create a shortcut to labels directly on your home screen. To create a new Label: Tap and hold on Home screen > select Shortcuts > Gmail Label > then select the label that you want.

Archive incoming messages

Mail from this account can be archived directly, without showing up in your inbox. Learn more about archiving.

1. Click Add Account.

1. Once your account has been added successfully, you'll have the option of setting it as a custom From address. This allows you to compose messages in Gmail, but have them appear to be sent from your other email account. Click Yes to set up a custom From address.

My problem isn't not getting email I get email The problem is none of the accounts show up in the universal inbox. Voice mail does not show up and universal inbox, No email account show up in universal inbox. Only facebook and text messaging Show in the universal inboxes

I never seen my Google account show in the Universal InBox. I was under the impression that it wasnt designed to show in there and this was the reason the gMail mail box from the messages box.

I already have gmail fetcher set up on one of my accts. The problem is with the droid universal inbox. It was showing all the accts at one time,then a store employee did a reset because my contacts weren't showing and he said you could only have one gmail acct or it interfered with the contact phone settings,and nothing but text & facebook have showed up since.

It wouldn't be called a universal inbox then. My voicemail doesn't even show in there anymore. Any acct you have set up in the my accts setting should show. They all showed at first but don't anymore

My Universal Inbox does not contain my Gmail account nor do I see a way to add it.  I've got  Text Messaging, AOL, Verizon and one more obscure email account.

If you read the help option in settings it says all accounts including email will show in the universal inbox. it also says all accounts as a default will show in the universal inbox if they are in your account section Just go to accounts and touch the 1 you want to show in the universal inbox but my email tab is greyed out and the voicemail tab only shows in accounts. can anyone help fix it?
