update on Droid X

Recently updated the software on my Droid X.  I love this phone but now after the update, not so much.  The signal strength keeps coming and going in places where I would keep a constant 3 or 4 bar.  The network keeps coming and going and I have to reset it just to be able to finish reading my email!!!  Even if I am on a wifi connection, I still cannot get online unless I reset my phone and this dosen't always work.  Before the update I had to issues with the phone, now there are several.  Anyone have something similiar to this?  Should I just take it in and get a new phone?

Wow, take a look at the first page on this forum. It's nothing but complaints about GB.

 

There are also a lot of solutions to some of the issues people have reported, and I bet to some of yours as well.

Try dialing *228 and #1 to go through the programming setup to update prl and network towers.... The update updated the radio on the phone and this can cause a jumpy signal on device.



As for the wiring issue make sure to check the sleep state in settings / Wireless and Network / Wifi Settings /Left Menu / Advance / Wifi Sleep Policy and make sure its set to not sleep.
