using phone internet on laptop

Question

I have questions about using your phone as a "hotspot" at home for internet use. Is this frownd upon by most carriers?

Is the unlimited data really unlimited, or do they put a cap on it?

I am considering gettind a Droid incredible and heard they have a "hotspot" app is the reason i am asking these questions.

I apologize for the delayed reply but I am happy to see that you are interested in the Mobile Hotspot feature.   The Droid Incredible is Mobile Hot spot capable and with activating a Smartphone a $29.99/monthly unlimited data plan is required.  Additionally, to take advantage of the Mobile Hotspot feature you will need $20/2GB Mobile Hotspot feature.
