video is not working

I open up my camera option from my main menu and touch the Down arrow to open the menu options.  I change the mode to video and press the manual joystick, or cover it up with my thumb, and nothing happens.  There is a timer (00:00:00) next to the red dot and it does nothing.  Every now & then I hear like the "focusing" sound and the square box in the middle will turn to green but that is all.  Could it be that by accident I ran a video and my space is all taken up?  However I can not find where that video was saved.  If I thouch the picture/film icon in the corner it shows "camera shots" 19/19 and has no video files saved.  Help please.  I loke my phone but this is ruining it for me.

OK, This is a bit embarassing.  The problem was I did not push hard enough on the "mouse" on the bottom center of the phone to turn the video on/off.  This time I felt a "click" when I pushed down on it hard and it worked!  Typical answer, user error, lol.

@ski4evr, I had encounter a similar situation before. All I did was restart the phone and things were working again. If you suspect that you are out of space, you could try changing the storage location to sd card or phone storage and see if that makes a difference. To check the currently free space on your storage do the following:

unlock the phone --> click on menu--> settings--> SD & phone storage.

You will see your SD card as well as internal phone storage available space there. This will help you confirm if infact you have run out of space.

Hope this helps!

Tried a few restarts and did not help.  I also had turned on/off the phone a few times when I was traveling on the plane a few weeks ago too and nothing changed back then too.  My storage space is fine.  1.84GB of 1.86 on SD card, 6.34GB of 6.46 of internal phone storage and 625 MB of 748 phone memory.

check your entire gallery (not from inside of the camera app). go to your apps and open "gallery." this will show you if you have videos as well as pics.

I went into the gallery in apps and I have Camera Shots (15) and All Photos (15) with no videos.

lol... believe it or not I was replying back to you with this! "I may sound stupid but are you pressing the "joystick" hard enough?"

I'm glad you figured it out!
