I'm trying to send a video either by text or to an email and both ways i get a message that the file is too big. the recording length was set to unlimited then i set it to 1mb then to 2mb and i still can't send the video. what am i doing wrong, theres no way i got this stupid phone just so that i wouldn't be able to send videos. and the cheesy manual it came with says nothing about this topic and neither did the stupid dvd it came with. i'm at my wits ends because i really don't have patience for this.

Hi negra1706,
Video messages cannot be sent via text a message. Also if your sending the Video to an email address via a text message, it will not go through. Also, the sending a video via a text message would not be covered in a manuel or CD as because its commonly accepted to send the Video via a Picture message (Flix Message). Also, file size may have an issue as if it is set to unlimited in the recording.
The maximum file size for picture / video messages varies from device to device. The file size limitation is based on the megapixels of the camera on the device:
- Devices with a .3 megapixel camera can send / receive a maximum file size of 100 KB.
- Devices with a 1.2 - 2 megapixel camera can send / receive a maximum file size of 350 KB.
- Devices with a 3.0+ megapixel camera can send / receive a maximum file size of 600 KB.
- Lowering the camera resolution will reduce the image file size.
If a device sends a 500 KB file to a device with a lower file size limit the file will be reduced to a file size acceptable by the receiving device. Many devices are capable of sending messages that exceed intercarrier file size limits (typically 300 - 600 KB). A message that exceeds the other carrier's limits will be rejected and not reach the intended recipient. The maximum size for any device that supports is 1.2MB, regardless of the camera lens. Please give the video another try by sending it via a Flix Message. Another option is to sync your device to your computer and transfer the video and use your computer to send the Video that has issues being sent because of size limitations.
