viewing a pdf file on the droid x

I received a pdf file throught my gmail account on my Droid X. I have quick office. I just do not know how to get the pdf email into the quickoffice pdf so that I can see the document.

Can anyone help?

There should be a "Preview" button next to the attachment in the email. That should "fetch" the attachment and open it in QuickOffice.

When I use the "preview" button I get a blank sheet. The document does not show up.

Once I get the white sheet, I push menu and then select the page view. This actually brings the document up but it is so small there is no way to read it. I cannot seem to enlarge it. Any ideas there?

Forgive me if this sounds mean or something, but did you try the "pinch to zoom"?  Or simply double tap the screen?  I've downloaded the Adobe PDF viewer app, and that helps.

Yes, I did try the "pinch to zoom" I even tapped the screen and the and show up...but it will not increase or decrease.

The first page I get has a red X on it and it will zoom in and out all day but when I select the page view (the only way the item shows up), I cannot zoom in and out...strange!

That is strange...have you tried viewing other PDFs?  Maybe this one is just a "bad" one?

It sounds like it could be that particular pdf, do you have another pdf that you could try to use? You could also attempt to log into gmail through the browser and download it to the phone from there.

Have you tried opening this file on a computer? As impressed as I've been with what QuickOffice can do, I'm sure it's not the most compatible program out there.

I downloaded another pdf and it worked so it must have been that particular pdf...thanks for your help!
