weather???

the weather on my phone is not keeping correct and I want to down load the weather channel...is this safe, it says it will directly call phone numbers which will cost money and it says it will change network connectivity and change the UI settings

Hey kittybatz....skip weatherchannel app altogether if you can.  Not because the privacy concerns alone but because the app is overdeveloped and clunky.

 

Personally, i use the beautiful widgets pack and have "beautiful home" as my homepage widget.  It is stunning and accurate and includes great weather updates. 

 

my opinion.

 

as far as virus software...not yet :smileyhappy:  Android is relatively secure.

Yes it is safe. I use it and not sure why they have the directly call numbers listed there, but I have used weather.com app since I got my X back on launch day
