I am knew to droid - just switched from a blackberry storm to the droid x - all is good except when I log into one site it will not show me the site - says I have an error.
The site is a site for college - etc.tctc.edu
any help greatly appreciated.
Are you viewing page in full or mobile version? Did you try installing latest Flash update from market? If that dont work try anothet browser like Skyfire or Opera Mobile or Mini because this could be a site format issue,
I have just downloaded adobe flash 10, no help. When I go into settings, into app mgr, and look at the app, it is not checked to download with browser, it show no default apps to act with, and it will not let me move it to SD card.
Those fields mentioned above are not active. Any suggestions for this?
I will also try other browsers. I have been trying to use the one showing on the bottom home screen of the droid.
thanks
Java is required for the site.
This worked for me:
From the Browser:
Menu -> More -> Settings -> Enable plug-ins: Always on
Dolphin Browser HD also worked with:
Menu -> More -> Settings -> Advanced settings -> Enable plug-ins: Always on
thanks, I tried that. The plug in is always on for the browers I've tried, I tried skyfire, dolpin, and opera. No luck. I can view the page, but when I log in it gives me the error message - uPortal error, cannot render page.
thanks for the help, any more suggestions?
Can you log into any other site? It may not be your browser or your Droid, it may be the site itself. Some sites do not recognize mobile browsers.
yes, I can log into other sites with my droid, I can log into that site with my ipod...just don't always carry it, now with the droid - since droid does so much.

If you can log into other sites with the Droid X, then it is the site itself which will not let you log in. As far as being able to do it with your ipod, I wouldn't compare it with the Droid X. They are not the same type of instrument and run on far different systems. I too would suggest a trip to the IT.
When you try to access the site and you get the "Browser Problem" page, Isn't there a "continue" button at the bottom?
The "Browser Problem" came up for me to (and I have Java enabled) I just hit the "continue" button and the site came right up on my X.
