wifi problems

I'm travelling around southeast Asia and I am in Laos now. I have disabled mobile internet connect and have been using just Wifi for internet connection. All of a sudden wifi stopped working. I can see the networks, have the option to connect and give a password but then it stops there. it will say 'authenticating' or something like or even "connecting" but never establish the connection. what gives? I would love to get this to start working again, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be to have connection issues while you are traveling. I hate it when I travel and I can’t connect! To remedy the situation you are in I would take a few different steps. First, do you have another Wi-Fi capable device that you can use to connect to the internet? If so, try connecting with the other device. This will help us determine if it is the Wi-Fi connection or if it is your phone that is causing the problem. Additionally, have you turned your Air Plane mode on/off? If not, try to turn Air Plane mode on and turn it back off. I am certain that this will get you on a path to resolution. Thanks.
