It may simply become unavailable. They've already announced that production is ending.

It might drop in price a little more. I do expect to see the Motorola Droid discontinued eventually.

It is already didcontinued. No more new units will be made they are even having trouble keeping enough refurbished ones to replace the ones dropping like files!!!
